LOCATED NEAR THE QUAINT TOWN OF BANNER ELK AND THE SKI TOWNS OF BEECH MOUNTAIN AND SUGAR MOUNTAIN NORTH CAROLINA.

OUR STORY

Hello, we are Ripley & Kim, along with our furry babies, Duncan and Lulu. Here we are pictured at the top of our mountain property. The top elevation of our property is 4000 ft. and is located in Elk Park, NC which is situated a short 9-minute drive from the small quaint downtown of Banner Elk.

We purchased this 35-acre property when we moved to NC from Florida in 2020. We purchased it with the idea to create and design an RV park that we would want to stay at. We finally broke ground in 2022 with a dream to change the way we wanted to stay in our RV in the great outdoors.

Touches of modern amenities, privacy, lots of land to explore, interesting towns with eclectic charm nearby, and places to discover along with supporting local artisans and goods that are made and grown in our towns. From the local beer breweries and coffee roasters to the farmer down the street supplying us with fresh organic eggs. A slower pace to rest, relax, and enjoy.

Ripley has had 20+ years in the resort and tennis industry and Kim is a full time professional artist, we brought our skills and dreams together to create “The Barlow”. We hope you enjoy our RV mountain park vision and look forward to meeting you and hanging out with you by the fire to share stories and get to know you.
